Online Teaching Community

For Whom?

The online teaching community welcomes lecturers, education support staff, and all other staff members contributing to education at Ghent University.

Capitalizing on the recently restructured platform ‘Education Tips 2.0’ and a growing demand among lecturers across the faculties for exchange of ideas, Ghent University’s education support team (i.e. a collaboration between the Education Department (DOWA) and the ACTIVO team) wishes to build a university-wide teaching community.

An easily accessible MS Teams platform brings together colleagues from related disciplines, or working with similar teaching methods. Members acquire better insight into new education-related developments, and into what makes Ghent University education tick as a whole.

The platform gives room to a sustainable exchange of ideas, provides a direct link to existing expertise at the Education Department, and highlights the latest education-related information, updates and training sessions. Signing up for specific MS Teams channels allows for a personalized offer of education-related news and an expression of your personal interests.

Are you curious to learn about colleagues’ approaches? Would you like to stay tuned to the latest education-related updates? Or do you feel sympathetic to Ghent University education in general? If the answer to one or all of these questions is a resounding yes, be sure to take a look at the online platform, at Education Tips.

Want to Know More?

Our teaching community is taking shape as we speak. We will gradually inform our lecturers of its existence, and guide them towards it. Once the remaining growing pains have been resolved, we will plan a broader communication campaign. In the meantime, however, we do welcome pioneers: if you are interested, access the platform using this link and make yourself at home!
